
Rasmus E Ingerslev of Fitness Denmark Honored by IHRSA with the 2007 European CLub Leadership Award
PARISNovember 19, 2007The International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) recently concluded the 7th Annual IHRSA European Congress on 15 November in Paris, France.
Honoring Rasmus E Ingerslev with the 2007 European Club Leadership Award highlighted the Congress.
"The European Club Leadership Award is presented to the club leader who has done the most to advance their company and the industry through leadership and performance, and we are proud to honor Rasmus Ingerslev, CEO of Fitness DK, as our very deserving recipient this year," said Joe Moore, IHRSA’s President and CEO.
"Rasmus has made many significant contributions to the industry, including his involvement as co-creator of the Danish Fitness and Health Organization, the establishment of Fitness DK as the first club to combine membership with health insurance in Denmark, in addition to his exceptional leadership and involvement in community service," continued Moore. "We congratulate Rasmus and wish him continued success and prosperity in the industry."
Fitness DK has shown significant growth within Europe, as it is the largest fitness chain in Denmark with 90,000 members (1/4 of fitness participants in Denmark), and recently opened its 33rd location in Birkeroed. Among his accomplishments, Ingerslev has been named as one of the "Top 100 Young Leaders in Denmark."
